“There is no timeline for grief. Sometimes just when you’re feeling like you’re finally in a good spot, grief sets you back five steps and you must trudge through again. Being able to take one step after another proves to us that we are strong and courageous, able to face any great challenge. Yes, we will always grieve the death of our loved ones, but we will be able to live a happier freer life by working through the muck and the mire of grief.” –Holly Harbin, Lory’s Place participant
You help people like Holly everyday through your generous support of the Lory’s Place Reflections Dinner and Auction. You make it possible for people to grow and learn through their grief. Your support helped raise nearly $130,000 to provide services for grieving children and their families. A heartfelt thank you.
The temperate evening of August 15 at the Shadowland was filled with exhilaration, love and passion for helping and caring for others. Over 255 good friends gathered with giving hearts to carry on the tradition of generosity through a spirited and contagiously fun auction. The event was overflowing with compassion and philanthropy for the children and families touched by you and the services of Lory’s place.
